Members of the Leese Lab attended the 2020 Society of Integrative and Comparative Biology (SICB) annual meeting from Jan. 3rd – 7th in Austin, TX. Mariana Aversa (’20) presented a poster titled ‘Female mate preference in convict cichlids influenced by intrasexual competition and mate quality’ and Claire Gogel (’20) presented her work in a poster titled ‘Environmental factors influence sex roles and nest site selection in cichlids.’ The conference was a tremendous success and included many outstanding talks and posters. When not in talks, we had a lot of fun exploring the amazing city of Austin. Great food, great music, great weather! Can’t wait for SICB to return to Austin in 2023.
