Fleming Ethics Bowl, 3/28

On Monday, March 28, 2011, DeSales University will again sponsor the Fleming Institute Ethics Bowl. Student teams from Lehigh Valley colleges and universities will compete for cash prizes totaling $4500. The event will take place in the University Center from 8:30 am to 4 pm. A message from Fr. O’Connor about tuition

The following letter regarding next year’s tuition was recently sent to the parents of our students: Dear Parents, Students and Friends, While the economic environment continues to provide serious challenges, DeSales University has experienced a year of stability. We have been blessed with slight enrollment growth over the projections in all of our programs: undergraduate day, undergraduate evening (ACCESS), and graduate. We attribute this to the quality of our programs, the dedication of our faculty, and the modest price of our tuition. We are indeed a good value. We have also been able to reach the point in our capital campaign where we are ready to break ground for the Gambet Center for Business and Healthcare Education. [Read more…]

Undergrads: offer feedback on sustainability issues and you could win a gift card!

this brief survey regarding sustainability awareness and issues on campus.  The survey will take less than 10 minutes to complete and your responses will provide helpful feedback to prioritize sustainability-related programs and services. LEADSU Applications available for Fall 2011

    LEADSU (Leaders Emerging at DeSales University) is a non-credit, two semester, certificate program designed to enhance students’ understanding of effective leadership, the role of character and ethics in leadership, and the unique perspective of leadership in the Salesian tradition. The workshops and activities focus on leadership theory, leadership skills development, ethical decision making, self-awareness, and productive group interaction. The goal of the program is to prepare students to serve as effective, ethical leaders in both their personal and professional lives.
