Today: Science Seminar Series—DeSales Graduate Student Panel
Are you thinking about going to graduate school? Do you have questions about continuing your education and what that might mean? Join three DeSales alumni currently attending graduate school who will share their experiences and answer all your questions.
This Science Seminar Series will be held on Friday, April 23, at 3PM. The seminar will be offered both in-person in the Hurd Auditorium, and online through Zoom.
Our panelists will include:
- Emily Esquea ’19 is a second-year Ph.D. student studying molecular biology and genetics at Drexel University. She will give insight into general course work, rotating in labs, and the expectations and life in grad school.
- Tess Marlin ’16 is a second-year graduate student at the California Institute of Technology and the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory studying astrobiology. She will spend time talking about changing fields, post-baccalaureate research, conducting interdisciplinary research, and choosing a research group.
- Ryan Vignogna ’16 is a Ph.D. candidate in the department of biological sciences at Lehigh University. He will discuss his path to graduate school, offer suggestions for applying to and interviewing for Ph.D. programs.
All are welcome to attend.
