Today: Chemistry and Physics Eclipse Viewing Party
Today, April 8, the United States will have a chance to see a total solar eclipse. Here in Center Valley, weather permitting, we’ll see the moon blocking about 92% of the sun!
In order to celebrate this event and to make sure everyone has a chance to view the eclipse safely, the department of chemistry and physics, along with the division of sciences and mathematics, invites all members of the campus community to share eclipse glasses, viewing boxes, and snacks in front of the Hurd Science Center. The event will begin at 2:30PM, when the moon first noticeably starts to pass into our view of the sun and will last at least until near-totality hits around 3:20PM.
