Today: DUCsgiving, Tree Lighting, and Other Festivities
It’s almost time for one of the most anticipated DeSales traditions–our annual DUCsgiving followed by our Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Join us for one or all of the following special events today, Nov. 25.
Turkey Trot:
- When? 3PM.
- Where? The Dorothy Day Student Union Mall.
- What? Rise Against Hunger and the Run Club will host this Turkey Trot/Run/Walk. Donations to help the University food pantry and Rise Against Hunger will be accepted.
DUCsgiving Dinner:
- When? 4:30PM –7PM.
- Where? The DeSales University Center.
- What? Kick-off Thanksgiving with a delicious fall feast in addition to music provided by The Office of Student Life.
- Please note:
- Because of the tremendous turnout for this event, participation is limited to full-time students and employees.
- Please be prepared to show your DeSales ID at the door.
Annual SGA Tree Lighting and Blessing:
- When? 6:30PM.
- Where? The Dorothy Day Student Union Mall.
- What? Witness the magic as we come together as a campus community to light up our largest Christmas tree during a special ceremony!
- After the tree lighting, there will be numerous events throughout the Dorothy Day Student Union for students, faculty, and staff.
- Official DUCsgiving/Tree Lighting shirts will be available in exchange for three food products that will be donated to the University food pantry.
Women’s basketball game:
- When? 6PM.
- Where? The Billera Hall Wood Courts.
- What? The Women’s basketball team will take on Moravian University.
Men’s basketball game:
- When? 8PM.
- Where? The Billera Hall Wood Courts.
- What? The Men’s basketball team will take on Moravian University.
