11/17-11/22: Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week Activities
In recognition of Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week, Universities across the country will be educating, advocating, and serving communities experiencing food and housing insecurity.
You can participate too. Join us for the following events:
Sunday, Nov. 17, 9AM:
- Sandwich making for Bethlehem Emergency Shelter.
- Connelly Chappel.
Monday, Nov. 18, at 5PM:
- Community Conversations on Food Insecurity.
- Dorothy Day, Danko room (changed from O’Connor Commons).
Tuesday, Nov. 19, noon-3PM:
- De-Stress blanket making, sandwich making, trivia, and raffle prizes.
- The Dorothy Day Commons.
Wednesday, Nov. 20, 7PM:
- Faces of Homelessness Panel.
- Meet and hear the stories of three community members who experienced homelessness.
- Dooling auditorium.
Thursday, Nov. 21, 8PM–6AM:
- Night Out.
- Meet in the Commons at 8PM. The group will sleep outside to raise awareness of the housing crisis. Students may bring sleeping bags, tents, cots, and plenty of warm layers.
- The Dorothy Day Mall.
Friday, Nov. 22, 4PM–6:20PM:
- Serve dinner at Victory House.
- Meet in the Community Service Office. The group will make and serve dinner at Victory House and back on campus by 6:20PM.
