MSN and DNP Advocate for House Bill 739 and Senate Bill 25
On May 5, Dr. Laura Baylor, director of the FNP program, and Dr. Kate Stackhouse led a group of 28 MSN and DNP students to Harrisburg to advocate for House Bill 739 and Senate Bill 25. Both pieces of legislation support Full Practice Authority for Nurse Practitioners in Pennsylvania—a critical issue as the state continues to lose providers to neighboring states like New York, Delaware, Maine, and Maryland, which already grant FPA.
The students had the invaluable opportunity to meet with legislators and participate in the official rally. It was a meaningful and inspiring experience for all involved. We are truly grateful for the chance to prepare and attend this important event together.
