May is Mental Health Month so there’s no better time to revisit the surgeon general’s report entitled “Our Epidemic of Loneliness and Isolation” released May of 2023. This report highlighted the challenges we face in our country with loneliness and challenges all of us to take action to promote a culture of social connection. We know that individuals who have positive relationships are more likely to live longer, have fewer chronic medical and mental health conditions, and report feeling happier overall in their lives. So how can we ensure that everyone has an opportunity to build supportive, nurturing social connections?
In this webinar on Tuesday, May 7, at noon, Carolyn Lamparella will explore ways employers, communities, families, and individuals can foster positive social connections and improve the emotional well-being of self and others. We will learn how to “pay it forward” with a call to action that will enhance your feeling of connection and make others feel seen.
